Out of the goodness of her heart (yeah right) Gita hosted a reception for the hostages and their loved ones the other night. To thank them for remaining calm during the ordeal as she said, or more likely as Ty said: to have them lick her feet for coming up with the plan to save them.
And so most of the people involved pitched up at Gita’s home dressed in their finest.
Even Bernard arrived with his uncle Ryno, looking very sad still. I wonder if Pieter and Annelie sent a message to Bernard seeing how Pieter dated Danelle for a short while and Bernard and Pieter were best friends.
Anyway, Gita was in her element greeting her guests from the top of her staircase and walking down and talking with glass of wine in hand… like Alexis Carrington herself.
She mentioned that everyone was thinking of Danelle and her loved ones although other than Bernard and Charmaine it didn’t quite look like anyone else was affected by Danelle’s death nor spent too much time thinking of their now deceased friend.
Then she said the nightmare is over and they can start to move on! Seriously! These people have moved on the day after the hostage situation was resolved.
Just before they “moved forward” Oom Oubaas gave a few gevlieelde woorde. Thanking Dr Lynette and Gita for their contributions during the hostage drama.
Gita promised to sort out the security situation in the Heights, which some of the other guests welcomed yet were skeptical of.
The they went back to enjoying the gathering, yet strangely enough none of his colleagues or friends spoke one single word to Bernard. Not even a quiet hug or handshake. He just stood off alone to the side at the bottom of the staircase. No one even looked his way – like he wasn’t even there. These 7de laan people are cold! Ice cold!
