7de Laan Spoilers Discussion July 2013
I have to admit that I have not watched more than about three or four episodes of 7de Laan in the last four months. I stopped watching when Paula had her car accident.
And the whole nonsense with Xander having a thing for his sister-in-law Bonita was just ridiculous and sickening to watch, so I didn’t. Not to mention that story line with Marcelle and her father!
Well, Paula’s coming back and that should make things a lot more interesting down the road. Look out for her on 22 July. Hopefully she and Altus are still married and that she gets a spark back pretty soon. Because a depressed Paula will not make for happy viewing.
Secondly Emma has a new man in her life. Marko, no less!
An odder pairing you will not find anywhere. But maybe the two will find some love because they’ve been pretty unlucky in the past.
But of course the path of true love never runs smoothly! Because Rick will be discharged pretty soon afterwards and make his way back to Emma and her son Theunis. We can only that he doesn’t have another set back when he finds out about Emma and Marko!
And now that Vanessa’s pregnant we can only wonder if a baby will give those two stability because they’ve pretty much been separated for almost as much time as they’ve been together.
I actually don’t care, truth be told.
Other rumours include Gita buying T&T and Neville Meintjies imminent return. Although we’ve heard the Neville rumours a few times before.

Paula and altus better make it this time… Its getting really sad 🙁 that there is not 1 couple except 4 oubaas en his bokkie that actually sticks through it all!! The story is just better if they stand by eachother. Stop this Deurmekaa nonsense Paula wil vi altie he
Love that Paula is coming back. Seriously think that Vanessa and Xander should divorce and leave us in peace, Xander is way too sexy and smart for the boring Vanessa anyway. Emma and Marko!!!! Seriously, why is 7de Laan pearing all these boring woman with the sexy hunks? I just dont understand it! Hopefully Gita wont steal T&T from Herman. That would be a very stupid move on her part anyway. And yes i would be ecstatic if Neville returned. Charmaine looks so dull and lifeless without him.

She looks amazing; I just hope the 7de Laan writers lets Paula grow up. She’s the bright spark in the Laan.
Honestly, and i thought 7de laan couldn’t get any worse then the past couple months!
-Annelie being a fashion designer and the whole drama of it was just plain ridiculous! It was so overdramatic! We already have a designer in Felicity, do we really need another one? And one who constantly whines! Wouldn’t it have been better if Annelie did something else?
-Xander developing feelings for his sister-in-law isn’t out of the realm of possibility, after all, this is still a soapie but there was just too many problems with the situation and again, it was yet another stupid idea! Come on, Bonita is not nearly interesting enough for men to want to fight over her! And xander to fall for her, of all people, is terrible!
-Vanessa being pregnant is yet another bad idea. If the actress is pregnant in real life then surely their could have been a much better way to write in the pregnancy. Its unbelievable that the child is Xanders because with the way their relationship has been going for the past few months and Xanders feelings for Bonita, THERE IS NO WAY they could conceive a child! It would have been more believable if she had a one night stand with some guy after finding out the truth about Xander/Bonita and then she finds out shes pregnant and is scared to tell Xander or even considers abortion or something, not this.
-Nadia is right now, THE WORST character in the laan. My god she is irriating! I don’t know why the writers just won’t get rid of her! Almost everyone i know that watches the laan dislikes her to. I can’t stand her!
-I’m glad to see Paula return but if they are going to continue to destory her character and her and Altus relationship then they might as well should have killed her back in the car accident. As much as i love Paula, i am not prepared to sit and watch her mope and act immature and childish again.
-Kim is yet another walking disaster. I used to like her character and felt that she never got enough screentime but now, the less i see of her, the better. She behaves like a teenager! And the Katy Perry name dropping is just terrible!
-I don’t care for Emma and Marko’s relationship. Marko looks like his hot for the first female he can find! It would have maybe been better if they didn’t have him act like that but its too late to make me care. The groundwork was badly laid.
-In general, the writers on 7de laan don’t know what the hell they are doing! Its so obvious! The show has become boring, ridiculously predictable and the new characters are not interesting at all but are a absolute pain to watch. I’ve tuned in now and again but i can’t bring myself to watch a full week.
Wow Nina, I agree with a lot of what you said. I am probably a lot less annoyed because I quit watching the Laan for about 4 months and only just switched on again a few weeks ago.
– I could buy Marko and Emma being in love if it happened more naturally. Just seeing how he acted towards that waitress on their ‘date’ is enough to wonder what she sees in him. He was so rude! But even so, why now? 7de Laan writers haven’t explained why they fell in love after knowing each other for so long.
– They took away Kim’s edge and just made her as annoying as everyone else. And putting her at T&T just made things worse because Aggie’s boyfriend is even more annoying than Kim, if that’s even possible.
– I hope the writers don’t write any story for Paula and Altus and just leave them in the background for a while – have them integrate into other storylines or just show them drinking coffee or being ‘normal’. They’ve had enough story for this year. But since when has less ever been more in the Laan.
– Vanessa and Xander are a disaster and have always been. At least Vanessa will be off our screens during her maternity leave. How anyone can buy the fact those two love each other – that’s just crazy. And I agree with you, Bonita has shown us nothing to make us believe that Xander would have a crush on her. She could disappear from the Laan tomorrow and I won’t even notice.
– And Annelie and Pieter have lots and lots of fans. I’m just not one of them. Annelie’s gorgeous and Pieter is kind of goodlooking, but that’s all I can say about them.
One thing I don’t agree with about is that Nadia is the worst actor on the show. Oh no! To me she’s joint worst with that boyfriend of hers. OMW! Don’t we have better actors in this country?? How did they get hired?
Thanks for agreeing with me. I agree with you, Kim being shipped off to T&T was just a bad idea and she is just as annoying as Aggie’s boyfriend (i actually found him endearing in the beginning but now, i can’t stand him, just like Sifiso). I used to love Annelies character but now, i can’t stand her. Her and pieter make a cute couple but i’m not a fan of their relationship. Pieter suffers from too many mood swings the writers make it seem like his bipolar or something, its ridiculous. I stopped believing in Xander and Vanessas relationship years ago, there is no love there. And yes, their relationship is a mess. As for Nadia, i agree her boyfriend is just as bad an actor as her. Plus, he looks wayy to old to play a teenager. Many people play characters younger then themselves and it works but seriously, no. This guy not only looks old and he forgot to take a shower but his just terrible and just as annoying as Nadia. God knows whoever hired them, that person should get fired! Just like most of the writers on the Laan.
Well most of the shit u people say is true but the whole thing of Bonita helping Vince with the stove’s and now their almost apart again that suck he should just leave her she is like a Gost walking around she doesn’t have anay life in her… And venessa and the baby so cute. EmmA being in a acident and doesn’t remember her son so boring and she doesn’t even remember her husbend and BTW how can u say just after she and marko had a fight she was in an acedint if she saw Rick arlear I’d rather say its Rick’s foalt nt Marko… And after Nadia wrote that stuff of Bertus sudenlly their together really u people shoeld in prove in ur writing skills but okay
